Spot on Hucknall stay top with narrow victory!!!!

Monday Team League

Spot on Hucknall retained top position with a narrow and hard-fought victory over Belvedere, winning 3-2.

The Towers and Triple S are tied for second place, 14 points behind the leaders.

The Towers still have two games in hand though and it promises to be a very close finish to the season.

BCI AJ 1 v 4 BCI Hotshots

The Hotshots won the local derby with a resounding win.

Wins for Kwok Yip, Josh Morley and Tony Collins doing the damage.

AJ captain Ash Field winning a solitary frame for his team.

The Hotshots move to sixth in the league with AJ now eighth.

Spot on Sneinton 1 v 4 Carlton Liberal

Carlton have really got going in the last few weeks and another solid win moves them into fifth position

Wins for Kev Barlow and Rob Walker across singles and pairs this week.

Sneinton’s Nick Sharp getting a frame on the board for his team, defeating Barlow.

Sneinton remain seventh going into the last sprint of the season.

Lenton Liberal 3 v 2 The Towers

Lenton produced the shock of the week with a win 3-2 against the in form Towers.

Danial Kamran is having a great run of results this season and has been potting them off the lampshades recently.

Kamran had wins over Andy Diacopoulos and Andy Taylor, these will no doubt fill his confidence.

Towers pushed Lenton all the way though, wins for Towers Bob Gould and Andy Diacopoulos got their two frames on the night.

Spot on Hucknall 3 v 2 Belvedere

The final match this week saw top side Hucknall retain their place, but only by the odd frame.

Wayne Martin got Hucknall off to a flyer, potting everything in sight against Ben Reed, winning 107 v 72.

Chris Dent then evened things up with a great win against Ellis Abbot.

The Hucknall pairing of Clarke & Abbot came up trumps again, they were comfortable winners against Reed and Carpenter.

Chris Dent, then levelled things up again in taking out Hucknall captain Daz Clarke.

Down to a decider with Wayne Martin vs Tom Carpenter.

Martin flew out of the blocks with breaks of 56 and 32, taking the frame 129 – 67.

Making it a narrow victory for Hucknall.
