Lenton are favourites to win the league after resounding victory over The Venue
Monday Team League
Lenton Liberal Club kept up their relentless pursuit of the Monday League title with another great win. This time it was at the expense of The Venue, winning 5-1 on the night. Andy Wain winning the only frame for The Venue, defeating Dale Prime in the process. Wins for Lenton players Tom Laycock, Phil Connolly and Jon Shapland giving them a narrow one point lead with one week to go.
BCI AJ had a solid win against the ever dangerous Hidden Spot. BCI winning all of the singles games in this encounter via Ash Field, James Robinson and Josh Morley. Hidden Spot taking the pairs frame with Danial Kamran and Farhad Khan teaming up to take what could be a vital two points as we near the end of the season.
Spot On Hucknall won 6-0 against Carlton Liberal Club to close the gap to one point at the top of the league. Daz Clarke and Patrick Ashurst again combining on a Monday for Hucknall. Carlton pushed them all the way though with close frames from Kevin Barlow and James Bailie.
No game next week but an exciting conclusion is in store when the final games are played on the 27th – who will take the title?
The KO cup final will be played on the 6th March – venue to be finalised.
